Retiree Group Endorses Rachel Garcia Cavazos for Bexar County Clerk

Cites Her Executive Leadership Skills, Integrity

San Antonio – Members of the Alliance for Retired Americans proudly announced their endorsement of Rachel Garcia Cavazos for Bexar County Clerk today. The Texas Alliance for Retired Americans (TARA) is a grassroots advocacy organization with more than 145,000 members across the state and more than 9,200 in Bexar County.

“Seniors can trust Rachel Garcia Cavazos to look out for older people’s best interests in Bexar County,” said Gene Lantz, president of the Texas Alliance. “Her leadership skills are exceptional and her integrity is beyond reproach. We know she will be a reliable steward of taxpayer dollars.”

Lantz also noted Ms. Garcia Cavazos’ experience as a Service Coordinator for the hundreds of elderly residents living at Granada Homes San Antonio before becoming Director of Labor Services for United Way of San Antonio.

“Now more than ever, it is vital that we have elected officials in Texas who care about seniors and can be trusted,” emphasized Lantz. “Voting for the right person is crucial to make government work for the people and not special interests.”

“I know Rachel, and I have seen the major role she had in raising her grandchildren,” added Robert Roach, Jr., President of the Alliance for Retired Americans. “She knows what seniors need from their local government, and she knows how to deliver it to her community.”

To get involved with TARA’s work in Bexar County, activists are urged to contact Mari Nella Murillo at reff78@yahoo.com.
