Annual Activity Reports
2022 Activity Report
In 2022, we continued to fight for lower drug prices. Our advocacy work contributed to the Biden administration’s passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, which requires Medicare to negotiate lower prices for some of the most expensive prescription drugs. We also helped elect pro-retiree candidates for the midterm elections and worked to expand Social Security, strengthen the U.S. Postal Service, and protect the right to vote.
2021 Activity Report
In 2021, we worked to expand Social Security, fight for lower drug prices, and save multiemployer pension plans. We also stood in solidarity with striking workers across the country and supported efforts to pass the PRO Act. Our members continued to engage in issue advocacy across the country.
2020 Activity Report
In 2020, we worked to ensure that older Americans could cast their ballots during a historic pandemic election and endorsed pro-retiree candidates. Our members also engaged in issue advocacy across the country.
2019 Activity Report
In 2019, we worked to lower prescription drug prices, save pensions, and expand retirement benefits. Several members advocated for these issues on Capitol Hill.
2018 Activity Report
In 2018, we worked to protect pensions and earned benefits, helped to defeat Missouri’s “right-to work” ballot initiative, and endorsed pro-retiree candidates for the midterm elections.
2017 Activity Report
In 2017, we fought to protect the Affordable Care Act from attacks, educated people about pensions, and helped elect pro-retiree candidates in key state elections.
2016 Activity Report
In 2016, we helped defeat the dangerous TPP trade agreement, worked to protect patients in long-term care facilities, and endorsed pro-retiree candidates for the presidential election and several key state races.
