Annual Activity Reports
In 2022, we continued to fight for lower drug prices. Our advocacy work contributed to the Biden administration’s passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, which requires Medicare to negotiate lower prices for some of the most expensive prescription drugs. We also helped elect pro-retiree candidates for the midterm elections and worked to expand Social Security, strengthen the U.S. Postal Service, and protect the right to vote.
In 2021, we worked to expand Social Security, fight for lower drug prices, and save multiemployer pension plans. We also stood in solidarity with striking workers across the country and supported efforts to pass the PRO Act. Our members continued to engage in issue advocacy across the country.
In 2020, we worked to ensure that older Americans could cast their ballots during a historic pandemic election and endorsed pro-retiree candidates. Our members also engaged in issue advocacy across the country.
In 2019, we worked to lower prescription drug prices, save pensions, and expand retirement benefits. Several members advocated for these issues on Capitol Hill.
In 2017, we fought to protect the Affordable Care Act from attacks, educated people about pensions, and helped elect pro-retiree candidates in key state elections.
