I worked I earned it leave it alone or improve it.
Please leave Medicare alone.
Please do not reduce our Medicare benefits. Medical costs are escalating rapidly and us retirees are struggling to afford healthcare as it is. Please work to improve coverage of the prescription Part D coverage. Please negotiate our drug costs to bring them down. Most of us retirees take several medications. My generic Boniva for osteoporosis taken only once a month has been moved to tier 3. For 3 lousy pills I will pay $131 next year. That is a generic priced as a brand name. My Zetia will also be $131 for three months. There is no generic for it. I take this along with Simvastatin (generic Zocor). I also have other medications I take. This will be taking a big chunk out of my Social Security income next year. Please IMPROVE our coverage–not take it away. To put things in perspective, I do not have a smart phone nor do I have high speed internet which have almost become a necessity of life due to modern technology. I have dialup internet and have to go to the library to open a lot of my email because it will not open with dialup service.
We actually worked for a living, so leave our benefits alone.
I worked over 30 years to get my social security and Medicare. Please do not reduce medicare benefits. Improve our coverage, not take it away
I take 2 kinds of insulin daily and am supposed to use test strips to test my blood. I am supposed to test it 3 to 4 times a day. With medicare rules, they will only let you have 100 test strips for a 3 month period. Those 100 test strips will only cover me for a month. Out of pocket, I pay myself for 200 more strips. I have a real struggle and therefore my blood sugar varies from to very high and also very low (way under 70) This is way to dangerous.
My wife and I have planned to have Medicare benefits at retirement since its inception and of course have worked and paid our share. We have been retired for 19 years. At 74 years old our chances of supplementing our income to pay for larger health and pharmacy costs is not an option.
Please find a way to remove fraud and price gouging from Medicare and Social Security so this existing system can continue to help those who truly need it and planned for it.
My vote still counts!
Please leave my Medicare alone.
Your own family received Social Security survivor benefits when your father died and you were a minor. How can you deny others the same? I worked from age 15 to 65 and paid in to the program that works. If you destroy these programs we will become a third world nation. Compare our retirement to other civilized countries, we are behind. Social Security and Medicare are beloved by Americans. It is a promise, not a piggy bank you want to rob for wealthy tax cuts.
Well said and truth spoken! It is not an entitlement program! We Pa into it all our lives with the expectation that it will bebthere in our old age.”Congress” rolled the surplus over into the general fund and spent our money 3 times now they want us to believe it is bankrupt! The only thing bankrupt is the morals of the Congress!
This was earned and not by pushing pens. Improve it or leave it alone.
Please leave MEDICARE Alone.
Millions of Americans have worked their entire life, with the governments promise that Social Security and Medicare would be there for them when they retired. This new administration should be ashamed of themselves for, promoting a bill that could impact so many hard working Americans.
Now that I am at the age to collect Social Security, “The Windfall Act” passed by President Regan, cost me approximately 1,200.00 dollars a month. Because of that act I was unable to collect on my wife’s Social Security, when she passed at the age of 59. With our combined imput into Social Security, I will have to live into my nineties to break even.
Millions of Americans depend on these benefits. This administration should be looking to inctrase benefits due to rising medical and prescription cost. Please leave these benefits alone.
So how many of you voted for Cheeto Man? You’re getting exactly what you voted for.
Leave your hands off Medicare and social security. I say all of Congress needs to take a pay cut and buy your own insurance work more and tax the 1% nothing else is acceptable.
Please leave our Medicare. BENIFITS alone. We have worked hard for many years for them. Now as seniors,we need all the help we can get. The health care is needed please.
leave MEDICARE alone!
Please leave my medicare alone. We NEED that. Why would you think of doing something so wrong?
Please leave our SS and Medicare alone. Would be nice if you would find away to repay the money that was borrowed from SS.
Do not dismantle our existing Medicare & Social Security Pensions! USA is the only government in the industrialized World that does not offer comprehensive health care to their citizens, as well as drugs at no cost. The modest amount offered to retired persons now, was guaranteed during our working careers.
Every month it is so difficult to ear tag my small SSA check to cover simple necessities. My food budget is $100.00 per month. My utilities are $250.00 minimum per mo. I can only heat one room in my mobile home at a time with a plug in heater. Every month I feel guilty if I purchase an extravagance for my personal comfort such as aspirin or hemorrhoid cream.
It is incomprehensible that the tiny 1%-US Billionaire’s- hovering over the American population, pays no tax for the privilege of using our freeways, police & fire protection, including taxpayer funded bomb shelters built for the preservation of the ruling class, where they will sit sanding their fingernails, while Nuclear bombs end our beautiful world.
The SSA $ amount was held in trust for the funding of SSA pensions to retired workers. This money was automatically deducted from our paychecks during our working lifetime. The Federal Government looted the pool of SSA $ to gift to the Banking Industry’s bailout. The bailout was used to fund “Golden Parachutes” to many retiring incompetent bank executives. Some of them rewarded for their incompetent behavior in the amount of $170 million dollars, as well as many others.
Should you proceed with this damaging process, I will be one of the permanently financially injured senior citizens, who will be taking to the streets to demonstrate as long as it takes to have our social advances returned and the politicians responsible for our abandonment, seriously reprimanded if our SSA pensions and MEDICARE are dismantled.
LEAVE SOCIAL SECURITY LIKE IT IS NOW, DON’T TAMPER WITH IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In no way can you last being against people in elderly years. Stop receiving money and look at what you have done for yourselves. Trump I hope will hold to the promises he was elected on or is he just going to laugh about it.
We will have another chance to clean this mess up four year or sooner than now. Don’t lie to me again.
Stop stealing from SS and Medicare we worked for it. It’s not a gift. This came out of my pay keep your filthy hands off…give back what was stole n. Your overpaid for the work you people do…..
