Janus v. AFSCME Serves as a Reminder to Organize
On June 27 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of corporations in the case of Janus v. AFSCME.
Conservative donors like the Koch brothers have long strived to bleed unions dry of resources that protect workers’ rights, and now they have been rewarded. This was the latest attack on worker freedom, and it ensures increased difficulty for organized workers trying to improve their workplace.
Retirees are urged to be more active than ever – our pensions, health benefits and economic security are at risk if corporations continue to trample over the the rights of workers. Please help us fight back by joining a protest event in your area.

America needs unions now more than ever. Fortunately, we have witnessed historic grassroots labor movements and teacher walkouts all across the nation recently. No matter who tries to bring us down, the Alliance will stand with labor unions to protect active and retired workers’ rights throughout the country.
We must organize, hold our elected leaders accountable, and fight back against efforts to divide us and weaken our communities.
