More than ever, seniors need a powerful voice to speak out and stand up for them. The Alliance for Retired Americans is that voice because our voice is yours!

Lifelong Unionism
Launched in 2001 by a broad coalition of community-based organizations and AFL-CIO affiliated unions, the Alliance unites retirees who are committed to one common goal--building the most effective organization to advocate for America's seniors at the national, state and local levels.

Community Activism
Under the banner of its Community Advocacy Network (CAN), the Alliance partners with a broad network of community-based groups committed to senior issues. Anyone who shares our vision to protect the health and economic security of older Americans is welcome to join. For an annual membership fee of $10, you can add your voice to the millions who make up the Alliance for Retired Americans.

Join as a Group: If you have a group that is already active in your community and you endorse the principles and goals of the Alliance for Retired Americans, we invite you to make our voice stronger and make a real difference on the issues you are concerned about. To do so, you must fill out a chapter affiliation application.
